Usually rectangular piece of fabric with a distinctive design that is used as a symbol to declare, signal or decorate. The Bible refers to the word flag as "Standard" or "Banner."

Standard

Used as an emblem, marker or rallying point or military flag.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a Standard against him! Isaiah 59:19. The Spirit of the Lord will:

Preserve our Sanctification under persecution!

  • Lift up a Standard, Oh lord!

Decide the boundaries of Satan’s attack!

  • Lift up a Standard, Oh Lord!

Declare our victory by His own power!

  • Lift up a Standard, Oh Lord!

What is a Billow?

A Billow is a large piece of cloth, long enough for several people to walk, run or stand under, like a sheet. Some teams refer to them as Holy canopies.  A Veil is simliar, but only one person would use it at a time.

Acknowledges that we trust God for protection

  •  The Lord is my Billow!

Covers us as a Holy Nation

  •  The Lord is my Billow!

Hides us from the Enemy's arrows

  • The Lord is my Billow!
