On Jan. 12, 2010, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 struck Haiti, killing more than 160,000 and displacing close to 1.5 million people. Many people poured into Haiti to assist. We wondered what could we do? After some searching, we found medical supplies, baby supplies, water and the food was being stockpiled at the dock. The Quickened Ministries mission was to do, thus after learning women had lost everything we sent women some bare necessities.
We boxed and shipped to Haiti about 1200 pieces of under garments, in every shape, style, size, pattern, and material. The Quickened mission made as many Haitian sisters feel safer and cared for.

Each family that receives a garden gets supplies including a barrel, supplies, starter plants, and seeds. Each family is then required to assist in teaching another family to construct their own garden. The Quickened mission to look outside of ourselves and serve a foreign community with an essential need. in this case, we improved their ability to grow food and support their own families while enhancing the overall sustainability of the community.
